About

This is Hades High School Zine, a Modern AU fanzine to celebrate Supergiant Games’ amazing roguelike and GOTY nominée ‘HADES’.
We’ve completely fallen in love with this game and its particular twist on Greek mythology, so we want to use our art to thank its creators and help a nonprofit organisation by donating part of of any possible proceeds from this project.

General Info

Hades High School Zine takes the characters from Supergiant Games' Hades to a high school setting, imagining the cast as teachers and students.
Thanks to our contributors, now you can see your favourite gods and heroes struggling to make it to class on time or having the time of their (after)lives in prom.

The zine is available in digital and physical format, printed in A5 size (5-7/8 x 8-1/4 inches, 148 x 210 mm), with perfect binding, softcover with deluxe material, and over 120 pages.

Featuring: 28 illustrations, 7 comic pages, 11 written pieces and a Behind The Scene section where the contributors explain their inspiration and creative process for their pieces..

After the store re-opening in September 2021, the estimate delivery for the zine and extra merchandise is November 2021.

Hades High School Zine is an unofficial fan project that isn’t affiliated to Supergiant Games in any capacity.

Proceeds

Hades High School Zine's proceeds will be split between the contributors of the zine and the non-profit Girls not Brides.

We wanted to work with an international non-profit dedicated to help children around the world, with a focus on school projects (since our zine has a high school theme).

To fulfil these goals the contributors chose Girls Not Brides. So half of all our proceeds of our proceeds will go to this global partnership of more than 1300 civil society organisations from over 100 countries.

FaQ

Can you actually sell SGG’s fanart?
Some months ago, SGG made an official announcement that they were changing their policies about selling fanart. You can read the official release here.

They've been so kind as to allow artists to sell fanart so we plan on following everything to the letter. We plan to make a limited run of this zine and any possible merchandise, and we will be selling everything directly to consumers. We won't use stores such as Redbubble or any of the others sites listed by SGG, and will be managing all the production personally and selling directly to our potential customers.

We are also adding to any information regarding our zine that this is an unofficial project and we aren't affiliated to SGG in any capacity.
We've chosen to do an AU zine because we think it's a fun idea but also we can avoid any significantly similar art / plagiarism.

Is this zine for-profit?
After the interest check we've decided to make it 50 / 50.
Half of the profits will go to Girls not Brides.
The other half will go to the contributors and will be distributed equally. So the mods will be receiving the same amount as everyone else.

Where is this zine based?
Two of the mods live in Madrid, so we're based in Spain.
We’re looking into several printing services from Europe, as most of the production would be based in the area. We’re also looking into several postal services to keep the international shipping costs as affordable as possible.

Is this zine SFW?
Yes, it's SFW. Although there's shipping there are no explicit sex scenes, gore or extreme violence.

Will there be any ships? Is all shipping allowed?
Short answer is yes and no. Longer one is: Although is not a romantic-centric zine, shipping is allowed, so there's both fanon and canon ships.
But not all pairings were allowed, for example, shipping adults with minors is not allowed, neither is non-con... and some other specific cases.

Will there be merch?
Yes! There's a bunch of it and maybe even more as we hit our milestones.

Where do you ship?
We will be shipping worldwide from Spain! ✈

When can I expect my order?
Preorders close on June 6th and we plan on close the production in the following 3 weeks. We want to send all the bundles by the end of June, so our estimate delivery is by July 2021. We ask you to be patient, as COVID-19 might affect the postal services and take longer than expected.
